Rescheduling

Classroom Instruction

Dates

SCHEDULING:  We appreciate your patience with scheduling.  Each week we are scheduling over 50 current students for driver training.  Each 38-hour student must select a 30-hour classroom session and schedule four driving dates:  one simulator date, one driving range date, and two street driving dates.  Each 40-hour student must select a 30-hour classroom session and schedule six driving sessions:  one simulator OR driving range date, and four behind-the-wheel, in-car instruction sessions.

Currently ALL driving dates are scheduled by parents, in person, in our office.

Our instructors are off-duty fire-fighters, police officers, teachers, and other professionals, who are State of Tennessee certified driving instructors.

RESCHEDULING:

By scheduling all class dates and driving appointments in person, rescheduling is not usually necessary; however,  if you need to reschedule for any reason, please come to our office to reschedule an appointment or class date as soon as possible.  We will not reschedule the driving dates or classroom sessions over the phone. This rescheduling procedure will prevent interruptions during telephone calls.  We realize that helping your child obtain a driver's license is an important event for both you and your child.  For that reason, our office staff would like to meet with you personally to schedule driving appointments, classroom instruction, and to answer any questions you may have.  When parents schedule driving dates and classroom sessions for their teens (for, preferably, with their teenager), rescheduling driving dates and classroom time is often avoided.

FEES FOR RESCHEDULING 30-HOUR CLASSROOM SESSIONS:

with 30-days or more notice before a classroom session:  One changed class date is allowed with no rescheduling fee.

with 11-29 days' notice before a classroom session:  $50.00 rescheduling fee for each rescheduled classroom session.

with 10 or fewer days' notice before a classroom session:  The fee is 50% of the deposit.

An early departure from any course will result in a total forfeiture of the amount paid.  Please see our refund policy.

CANCELLATIONS:  All basic teenage in-car driving instruction is taught with one instructor and two students in the training vehicle.  Occasionally, students cancel their appointments at the last minute.  If your child is scheduled to drive with a student who cancels a driving appointment at the last minute, we will try to find another student to fill the vacant seat.  If we are unable to find a replacement student, a parent may ride along during the in-car instruction, in lieu of rescheduling the driving lesson for the student who did show up.

FREE DRIVING LESSONS:  Would you like for your child to receive a free driving lesson?  Your child's name may be added to our list of "on call" students at your request.  When a student cancels at the last minute, it causes problems with our schedule.  Instead of rescheduling the second student when a student cancels, we try to find a substitute student for the in-car instruction.  Free driving lessons are only available for students who fill a vacant seat caused by the last minute cancellation of another student.

To be added to the on-call list, send a note to our office requesting that your child be put on the "on-call list" to be a substitute student.  Requests must be made by the parent of a student or former student.  Calling the office to request being placed on the "on-call list" will complicate the scheduling, rather than help.  Therefore, requests for free driving lessons will not be taken over the telephone.  Please include the following in your written request that your child be put on the "on-call list" for a free driving lesson:

student's name, birth date, and age,
the date the student attended Max Maxwell's basic teenage driving course,
the number of street driving hours the student has experienced since completing our course, if completed,
the days of the week and the hours of the day when the student would most likely be available for a driving lesson on short notice (i.e., Mondays from 5-7 p.m., Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m., never on Sundays, etc.), and
student's parent's name and contact phone numbers.

At this time, all scheduling and rescheduling driving dates is discussed in person in our office at:

Max Maxwell's Advanced Driving Schools, Inc.
Agricenter International
7777 Walnut Grove Road, Wing C.
Memphis, TN 38120

Questions and comments about the program may be handled by phone at 901-755-6777.

Registering for class, scheduling driving dates, and rescheduling classes and driving appointments must be handled in person in our office. This procedure helps us avoid placing parents and teenagers on hold for extended periods of time during scheduling conferences.

Thank you for your understanding.
