SUMMER SESSION: If you make above an 80 on the Tennessee State learner's permit test, you need to come to the office  from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. any Tuesday through Friday so that we can complete your paperwork for your waiver to get a learner's permit at the Tennessee Highway Patrol station. YOU MUST BRING YOUR CHILD WITH YOU FOR THEM TO SIGN THE WAIVER. WE CANNOT MAIL OR ALLOW YOU TO TAKE THE WAIVER WITH YOU TO GET YOUR CHILD TO SIGN IT. IT IS STATE LAW. SCHOOL YEAR SESSION: If you make an 80 or above on the Tennessee State learner's permit test we will complete the waiver that you take to the Tennessee Highway Patrol station in class on Thursday.  If you made below an 80 on the Tennessee State learner's permit test then you are required by law to retake the test at A Tennessee Highway Patrol station.  We are allowed to give the Tennessee State learner's permit test only one time to each student who completes the 30 hours of classroom instruction.  Tennessee state law prohibits any certified driver training enterprise to give the Tennessee state learner's permit test twice to any individual.  

SUMMER SESSION: A 70 or above is required to pass Max Maxwell's course and obtain your Certificate of Graduation which you may present to your insurance company for any discount they may offer. Max Maxwell Motorsports & Driving School, Inc., is certified by the State of Tennessee to give the state road test.  We will give the road test to any student who makes an 80 or above on Max Maxwell's final test.  If the road test is passed, we will give the student a waiver to take to the Tennessee Department of Safety so the student will not have to take the road test at the highway patrol office.  If you make a 79 or below on Max Maxwell's Advanced Driving Schools test, you may retake it to try for an 80 and above to obtain your waiver for the State road test or to just make a higher grade.  We give retests at 3:00 p.m. every Friday during the summer.  You don't have to make an appointment to retake Max Maxwell's test--simply come to the classroom at 3:00 p.m. on any Friday during the summer. THIS RETEST IS NOT A RETEST OF THE TENNESSEE STATE LEARNER'S PERMIT TEST.

FOR SUMMER AND SCHOOL YEAR SESSIONS:  Even if you fail one or both of the tests, you still must show up for all of your driving dates to complete the requirements for your Certificate of Graduation.

FOR SUMMER AND SCHOOL YEAR SESSIONS:  You must show up for all of your scheduled driving dates to earn your Certificate of Graduation.  If you fail to show up for a scheduled driving date, you will be charged a $30.00 rescheduling fee which must be paid before you can reschedule your missed driving time.
